2.1. What is a pre-order?

Pre-orders are placed for a trunk that has not yet been released to the public as available. We mark items on our website as pre-orders and share expected shipping times. Please note that these expected shipping dates are based upon our informed estimates but not a guarantee. Questions? Reach out anytime!

2.2. How do I check the status of my order?

As soon as your order ships, you will receive a shipment notification. If you'd like an update before then, please send an email to hello@memorizeyourlife.com with your order number and we will get back to you ASAP.

2.3. Can I modify or cancel my order?

Orders process very quickly. We will do our best to modify an existing order if you email us at hello@memorizeyourlife.com but we cannot guarantee that your order will be canceled or modified.

2.4. How do I place a return or exchange?

We thoughtfully style each trunk with details as chosen by you. Since every piece is unique, we cannot accept returns, cancellations, or exchanges except in the case of damage.

While we cannot accept returns or exchanges, occasionally, a trunk is damaged in the shipping process. If this is your situation, please send photos of the damage and the packaging materials within 5 days of receipt to hello@memorizeyourlife.com.

2.5. Can I combine promo codes for an order?

Memorize will gladly honor one promo code per order!

3.1. Will two Memorize trunks look exactly alike?

We thoughtfully style each trunk with details as chosen by you. The natural variations of our handmade trunks are part of their uniqueness and character. Slight differences in color and pattern alignment may occur. Fabric prints and embroidery may intersect in unexpected ways. We occasionally adjust fabrics, fonts, and lettering to enhance each piece's distinctive style. While imperfections may be present, please know that your trunk is made with care and attention to detail.

3.2. Does my trunk come with lifetime repairs?

Yes. For as long as you own your trunk, if a flaw in its materials or workmanship shows up, we’ll repair or replace it at no cost to you. Just email hello@memorizeyourlife.com with your order number and a few photos. See what’s covered.

3.3. Can I share my product ideas?

YES, please!  We’re a small business and we value feedback from our community. Send us a note with new product ideas, styling tips, or anything on your mind. We'd love to hear from you!

3.4. What materials are used to create my trunk?

Your trunk will have a steel exterior with your custom fabric-lined interior.

3.5. Where should I display or store my Memorize Trunk?

For best preservation, keep your trunk in a climate-controlled space like you would store other handmade keepsakes. Avoid damp environments where temperatures can vary dramatically, and humidity isn’t moderated.

Your trunk is made for keepsakes, not for play. Please don’t let children sit, stand, or climb in or on it, and keep the lid closed and latched when it isn’t in use so no one can get shut inside.

3.6. Why can’t I find a fabric that I saw in one of your trunks previously?

All our fabrics are limited edition, so we recommend that you order as soon as a style catches your attention. Of course, we’re constantly re-stocking new, on-trend fabrics. Let us know if you want a specific fabric and we'll try to restock. We can't wait to customize your one-of-a-kind trunk!
